DeMario Bell
DeMario Bell is a first-generation college graduate, startup advisor, TEDx organizer, speaker, and award-winning community strategist. His passion lies at the intersection of mentorship and equity & inclusion. He serves as the Senior Community Manager in the Global Marketing Practice at Culture Amp, an Australian-founded global human resources software company.
As one of the faces and voices of the brand, DeMario leads the digital strategy and operations for the Culture First Community, which includes over 100,000 global HR and people leaders and has won multiple awards for its engagement and impact. He manages content creation, moderation, and analytics for the community, as well as the design and delivery of virtual and hybrid events. Additionally, he collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to align community goals with the company's vision and values, showcasing best practices and insights from community members.
In 2023, DeMario was named LinkedIn’s Top Community Voice, and in 2024, CMX honored him as the Best B2B Community Professional and Best Growth Marketing Community. He was also recognized by Base as one of the Top 100 Customer Marketing & Advocacy Influencers and Strategists.
Max Pete
Max Pete is a Community Builder based in San Diego, CA. With over 5 years of experience in the community space, Max currently works at Square as the Community Engagement Program Manager. Prior to this role, Max led Community at SuperHi, Creative Mornings, and Freelance Founders.
Max's journey into the community industry began at the start of the pandemic—a happy accident stemming from job burnout, loneliness, and a desire for a career reset after nearly 10 years in marketing and advertising, which included roles at music labels, agencies, and running a freelance business.
In addition to working in the community space, Max is a writer and public speaker. He is passionate about advocating for limb different people and serves on the board of the non-profit organization Design With Us. Max is also a volunteer coach with Nubability.
