Carrie Melissa Jones
Carrie Melissa Jones is an award-winning author, community builder, and researcher of online communities. Her work has influenced communities for startups, non-profits, solopreneurs, and the world's leading brands, including Airbnb, Google, Microsoft, and two U.S. presidential campaigns. She is the Founding Partner of CMX, co-author of the book Building Brand Communities with Charles Vogl, and holds an M.A. in communication focused on virtual communities and belonging.
DeMario Bell
DeMario Bell is a first-generation college graduate, startup advisor, TEDx organizer, speaker, and award-winning community strategist passionate about mentorship and equity & inclusion. As the Senior Community Manager in the Global Marketing Practice at Culture Amp, he leads digital strategy and operations for the Culture First Community, a network of over 100,000 global HR and people leaders recognized for its engagement and impact. DeMario oversees content creation, moderation, analytics, and virtual and hybrid events while aligning community goals with company values. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including LinkedIn’s Top Community Voice (2023), CMX’s Best B2B Community Professional and Best Growth Marketing Community (2024), and recognition as one of Base’s Top 100 Customer Marketing & Advocacy Influencers and Strategists.
Monika Jiang
Monika Jiang is a writer, curator, and community builder, driven by amor mundi, a love for the world as it is, with all its beauty and darkness. Previously, they helped build the global community of the House of Beautiful Business and worked for clients including BCG, Google, Porsche, Salesforce, and others. They are exploring loneliness as a uniquely shared experience that paradoxically holds the potential to draw people closer together again—despite differences.
Max Pete
Max Pete is a seasoned community builder based in San Diego, CA, with over five years of experience in the field. He has led community initiatives at Square as a Community Engagement Program Manager, as well as at SuperHi, Creative Mornings, and Freelance Founders. His journey into the community industry began unexpectedly at the start of the pandemic, sparked by job burnout, loneliness, and a desire for a career reset after nearly a decade in marketing and advertising across music labels, agencies, and his own freelance business. Beyond his work in community, Max is a writer, public speaker, and passionate advocate for limb different individuals. He serves on the board of the nonprofit Design With Us and volunteers as a coach with Nubability, dedicating his time to fostering inclusivity and empowerment.
Beth Messich
Beth Messich is a seasoned leadership and career coach with over 15 years of experience in Learning & Development and Talent Management. As the founder of Beth Messich Coaching & Consulting, she collaborates with individuals, teams, and organizations—from early-stage startups to global brands—to develop tailored strategies that drive business results and personal growth. Beth's coaching approach emphasizes life-work integration, focusing on how work is accomplished to achieve sustainable outcomes. She is an ICF-certified coach, having completed her training at Georgetown's Institute for Transformational Leadership, and holds certifications in Leadership and Organizational Development from NYU, Diversity and Inclusion for HR from eCornell, and is a certified DiSC behavioral assessment facilitator. Robin Raskin
Robin Raskin is the Founder of The Virtual Events Group, a community that explores how we will meet in a tech-first future. A long-time journalist, author, publisher, event producer, and industry advocate, Raskin was one of the early editors of PC Magazine, and one of the first women in technology publishing. She founded FamilyPC, and created Yahoo!Tech. In 2008 Raskin founded Living in Digital Times (LIDT), which was acquired by the Consumer Technology Association. She writes a weekly column about the intersection of technology and the economy for Techonomy. Raskin plays an active role in high-tech policy issues. She won a lifetime achievement award from the CTA in 2020.
